Most tech coverage right now sits at one of two extremes: breathless hype that treats every product launch as a civilizational turning point, or blanket doom that treats every AI headline as evidence of imminent catastrophe. Neither is a particularly honest read of what’s actually happening.
Agent Horizon exists to do something less exciting and more useful: track what’s real. That means genuine progress worth paying attention to, credited plainly and without inflation. It also means calling out the hyperbole and misinformation that crowds it out — not to be cynical, but because the noise makes it harder to see the signal.
A few times a week, expect a digest of the week’s most interesting AI and tech stories, alongside a running tally of the week’s worst hype. Longer editorials will go deeper on individual topics as they come up. If a headline gets something wrong or overclaims, that’s fair game here — including, if it ever happens, our own.
